Woodwise Affiliates are drawn from a variety of organisations and occupations including:

- Woodworking machinery installers
A Woodwise Affiliate is a person authorised to assess woodworking machinery operators on their competence. They can issue them with The Safe Use of Woodworking Machinery Certificate, a City and Guilds backed certificate of competence.
The Woodwise team have created great learning resources to support the training schemes. The Woodwise learning resources are probably the most widely available and up to date learning resources available for the provision of machine woodworking training.
They fully reflect recent changes in the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations and the Safe Use of Woodworking Machinery Approved Code of Practice.
They are illustrated with line drawings, photographs and cartoons to:
- Reflect the changes in modern machinery
- Show the latest safety devices
